YCSO K9 Alert Results Seizure Of One Pound Of Meth
A Phoenix woman was arrested last week when a Yavapai County Sheriff’s K9’s alert found a pound of meth in her vehicle. Officials say Partner’s Against Narcotics Trafficking task force received information regarding drug sales involving 38-year-old Amanda McMurren. She was known to drive a white Dodge Journey and deliver meth to Prescott and Prescott Valley customers. Last Wednesday night deputies pulled her over on west Highway 69 in Mayer on a registration violation. A K9 was deployed after McMurren declined a search after the deputy detected an odor. Authorities found a glass meth bong. The vehicle was taken to an evidence facility in Prescott Valley. It was there they found meth and heroin under the driver’s seat and a pound of meth in a compartment under the front passenger seat. She was arrested on a slew of charges related to the incident and remains in custody and is being held without bond.
