A man has been arrested for firing several rounds in a Yarnell neighborhood. Yavapai County Sheriff’s officials say deputies were sent to the 16-thousand block of Young Lane in Yarnell Wednesday afternoon on reports of multiple shots being fired. When they arrived, a deputy found a .40 caliber semi-automatic pistol on the ground. Witnesses say the suspect is 30-year-old Shannon Smith. When deputies went to his trailer he opened the door and was ordered to surrender. He appeared to have an object in his hand and told deputies to shoot him. A deputy knew Smith from prior contacts and was able to get him to surrender. Smith didn’t have a weapon on him, but admitted to firing the shots. A search of Smith’s trailer discovered meth and a meth pipe. She was booked into the Camp Verde Detention Center on charges related to the incident. He remains in custody on $15-hundred dollars bond.
