A Prescott woman is in jail after she was found to be operating a prostitution house in Prescott. Police arrived at the home on the 600 block of Miller Valley Road at around 1:36 p.m. Wednesday. Officers served a search warrant on the home after a month-long investigation on the business. Police received information that prostitution-related crimes were occurring inside the house. During the search, 59-year-old Xia Du was confronted with evidence that had previously been obtained and she admitted to running the illegal business. A male client was at the home and was cited with engaging in prostitution, which is a misdemeanor. Du was booked into the Yavapai County Jail and charged with operating a house of prostitution, which is a felony.
