A Wilhoit man has been arrested in connection with the death of his younger brother. Yavapai County Sheriff’s officials say 68-year-old Warren Lewis was arrested Tuesday morning after he called them, saying he shot 58-year-old Gregory Lewis. Gregory was found on the ground outside the home in the seven-thousand block of West Toots Turnout, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to his upper body. Gregory was pronounced dead at the scene. Warren told authorities he and his brother were arguing a lot recently over rent and other issues. He said he became angry and destroyed items before grabbing a .22 caliber handgun. It was moments later he shot Gregory. Warren is in the Camp Verde Detention Center on one charge of first-degree murder. He is being held without bond.
