Two males have been arrested after the death of a 14-year-old Prescott Valley girl. On October 20th, detectives were called to a home where they found the teenage girl dead of an overdose involving suspected counterfeit pills containing fentanyl. Detectives discovered a narcotic supply chain along with social media activity all identifying several juveniles, including 18-year-old Aaron Lundsford Schmit from Prescott. Detectives found and reviewed social media posts showing Aaron offering to sell THC candy ropes and several blue oval pills consistent with mimic pills that commonly contain fentanyl. Investigators learned that Aaron and some of the juveniles named were likely responsible in providing the pills to the victim. Detectives searched an apartment in Prescott on Valley Street on October 26th at around 10 p.m. Deputies found items mentioned on the social media post and Schmit was arrested on numerous charges related to the incident. Also arrested was 18-year-old Christopher Munsey, who was booked on drug charges. Two juveniles were also detained but have been interviewed and released pending further investigation. If anyone has information into the case, or the death of the teenage girl, call Silent Witness at 1-800-932-3232. A $1,000 reward is being offered in the case. The case remains under investigation.
