The Monument Fire continues to burn 30 miles northwest of Ash Fork. The fire has burned nearly 18-hundred acres and is ten-percent contained. The fire was active Saturday, sending quite a bit of smoke up in the air. However, very little smoke was seen from the fire on Sunday. The fire is burning through pine and juniper and is burning within containment lines. All lines that were built around the fire are holding. No structures have been lost and there have been no injuries.
