A teenage female was questioned at Sinagua Middle School after several suspicious notes were found by school staff Tuesday. Flagstaff Police say the notes didn’t make specific threats, but were immediately reported to police. Staff and investigators found seven notes total throughout the school. They were written on sticky notes and stated the school should be bombed, said derogatory things about two teachers and wasn’t complimentary of the school’s afterschool detention program, “Elect to Learn.” Investigators and staff talked to a 13-year-old girl Wednesday and she admitted leaving the notes because she was upset she was sent to ETL. After reviewing the incident and consulting with the Coconino County Attorney’s Office, no criminal charges were filed. However, the girl faces accountability for her actions. The incident is not tied into the current investigation at Flagstaff High School.
