A Snowflake teenager has been charged with murder in connection with the death of a counselor at a rehab ranch last Tuesday in southern Utah. Garfield County, Utah officials say 17-year-old Clay Brewer fatally attacked 61-year-old Jimmy Woolsey from behind with a metal rod after he had come to check in on a group of teens sitting around a campfire. He then assaulted another employee of the Turn-About-Ranch and stole her car. Brewer was arrested by deputies, who were on their way to the ranch. He told investigators that a drug addiction had taken over his life and was controlling him. Brewer told investigators he liked Woolsey, but wanted to escape. The ranch is located in Escalante, which is about 300 miles south of Salt Lake City. Brewer will be tried as an adult and is facing eight counts connected to the incident.
