It looks like winter is trying to hold on in Northern Arizona. The National Weather Service says Flagstaff could see some snow through most of next week. Snow in May is not too unusual for Flagstaff. The average last day of snowfall is April 25th. The latest it has snowed was June 8th, 1907 and the average snowfall in May is seven-tenths of an inch. In 1965, Flagstaff saw just over six-and-a-half inches of snow on May 24th and just over four inches of snow fell on May 23rd of 2008. Currently forecasters are calling for the possibility of snow showers Sunday night through Wednesday night in Flagstaff, with amounts expected to be less the an inch if any.
