A small wildfire that broke out near Kaibab Lake east of Williams Tuesday has been contained. Kaibab National Forest officials say the Prairie Dog Fire started just north of Interstate-40 about a mile east of Williams and west of Highway 64. Williams Police evacuated the Kaibab Lake Campground for a couple of hours during the fire. The fire was contained at around 7 p.m. at around seven acres. The wildfire began on private property and moved onto forest service land. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
