Two semi-trucks collided, with one catching fire Saturday that lead to the closure of northbound Interstate-17 near Camp Verde for several hours Saturday. Sedona Fire officials say the accident happened at around 2:45 p.m. at around milepost 301. When crews from Copper Canyon Fire and Sedona Fire arrived, the fire had extended into a wildland fire. Copper Canyon crews tended to the semi, Sedona crews attacked the wildfire. The wildfire was held to a quarter of an acre. Both department crews tended to the fire and medical treatment of the two drivers. I-17 northbound was closed for around three hours. There were no other vehicles involved in the accident and traffic was re-routed through Sedona while crews cleaned up the scene.
