A Rimrock was arrested last Friday after he allegedly fired gunshots in the air and tried to light his house on fire to “make the voices stop.” Yavapai County Sheriff’s deputies went to the home at the 41-hundred block of Aztec Road in Rimrock and saw flames coming from the home. When firefighters arrived and tried to get him out of the house, he refused at first. Finally 50-year-old Jan Miller came out and was treated. He told authorities she poured “Everclear” alcohol on a container of live ammunition and set it on fire. The gunshot report ended up being live ammunition exploding due to the fire. After the fire was put out, several weapons were seized from the home. Miller was arrested on several charges related to the incident. He remains in the Camp Verde Detention Center on 15-thousand dollars bond.
