Prescott firefighters contained a wildfire, caused by a bird and a bird’s nest. A fire engine was responding to a car accident Wednesday at around 5 p.m., when they came up on a slow-moving wildland fire. The fire was burning on the northwest corner of Pioneer Parkway and Willow Creek Road. Two additional engines arrived to battle the 20-by-20 fire. After a half-hour the fire was contained. Fire investigators determined a nest and a deceased bird atop a high voltage power line, caused the fire. There was no injuries or property lost during the blaze.
