A Prescott Valley man was arrested in Chino Valley after he allegedly kidnapped a bank employee at knifepoint Monday. Chino Valley Police say 49-year-old Wayne C. Neumann approached a Chase Bank employee as she left work to go to lunch at about 12:20 p.m.. The suspect approached her from behind with a knife and forced her into her car. The suspect drove around the bank and several other businesses while he tried to get money from the victim. As soon as the victim saw a chance, she jumped out of the car and ran into a business in the 22-hundred block of South State Route 89. The store’s owners then called 911. Yavapai County Sheriff’s deputies spotted the vehicle a short time later and was able to pull over the suspect. Neumann was booked into the Yavapai County Jail on several felony charges, even though he has denied any involvement in the case.
