A Prescott man is in jail after he broke into a home and refused to let the people inside leave. Prescott Police responded to a home in the 200-block of Hardin Street at around 3:10 p.m. Wednesday. Officers found 45-year-old Christian Brunton, who lives nearby. Brunton refused to comply with officers and became combative and resistant. Officers learned Brunton went to the victim’s residence and knocked on the door. When one of the female residents slightly opened the door, Brunton pushed the door on knocking the woman to the ground. A second female was working on a computer when he approached her and threw her to the ground and then started yelling. Eventually one of the victims called 911. Brunton was booked into the Yavapai County Jail on a slew of charges. Three officers received minor injuries while arresting Brunton. They were treated and released from Yavapai Regional Medical Center.
