Prescott Fire crews kept a garage fire from spreading to other houses Sunday afternoon. The fire started in the 19-hundred block of Victoria Drive at around 5:15 p.m. When crews arrived they were told an RV parked in the garage, started the fire. Firefighting efforts kept the fire in the garage and didn’t spread into the attached house. The garage had ceilings 30 feet high, which made firefighting efforts difficult. It took crews about 30-to-45 minutes to get the fire under control. The house may have received some smoke damage. The house had working smoke detectors, but no sprinkler system. The exact cause of the fire is not known. The incident remains under investigation.
