Prescott Fire crews rescued four people Saturday that were stranded on a trail by The Highlands Center for Natural History on Walker Road. Crews arrived at around 3:30 p.m. when they found out the group had been enjoying the trails and were caught in a thunderstorm. Flooding conditions made it so there were unable to cross a creek, cutting off their exit back to the parking lot. After about 20 minutes, crews were able to get them back across the creek and to their vehicles. There were no injuries. Prescott Fire officials remind everyone that before heading to the outdoors, to check the weather forecasts and be aware of current weather conditions. Thunderstorms can develop quickly, which could lead to flash flooding.
