Precipitation has been above normal in many locations around Northern Arizona this winter. The National Weather Service says since October 1st of 2018, Flagstaff has received over ten-and-a-half inches of precipitation, which is more than two-and-a-half inches more than normal. In Winslow, they’ve received nearly four-and-a-half inches of precipitation, which is two inches above normal. In Prescott, precipitation totals are near normal since October, as they have received 5.86 inches. Payson is the big winner so far, after they have received just over 11 inches of precipitation, which is nearly three inches above normal. These totals are likely to keep going up, as a wet storm system is expected to impact the area starting Wednesday evening.
