A Payson school bus driver has been arrested for allegedly driving a bus while impaired before a collision that injured two students. Gila County Sheriff’s officials say 56-year-old Sherri Sessions of Payson was driving a bus south of the city at around 8 a.m. Monday, heading to Payson High School. The bus was then involved in an accident, however law enforcement officials still are unclear if the bus hit another vehicle or just crashed. Two students aboard the bus were taken to a local hospital. The remaining students were put on a different bus and taken to school. Sessions was booked into the Gila County Jail on aggravated driving under the influence, three counts of aggravated assault and 24 counts of endangerment.
