Construction on a new veteran’s home in Flagstaff will begin this summer. Flagstaff City Councilman Charlie Odegaard appeared on KAFF Country Legends Tuesday morning and says “June 1st is the groundbreaking for the veteran’s home on McMillan Mesa, right across the street from the rehab hospital.” The facility received state approval for ten-million dollars in 2016 and federal approval for the final 20-million dollar for the project last year. The facility will be two-stories tall and hold a minimum of 60 beds. The home is sorely needed to treat veterans from all over Northern Arizona. More information about the groundbreaking is expected to be released in the coming days.
