The NAU Lumberjacks fought back and forth with Montana State, but they pulled out a win over the Bobcats Saturday, 37-36, in the regular season home finale in the Skydome. Montana State was down 37-30 and scored with 32-seconds to play to cut the NAU lead to one. Montana State head coach Jeff Choate decided to go for two and the conversation failed. NAU wins. The Lumberjacks had 549 yards of total offense, with senior wide receiver Elijah Marks catching nine passes for 123 yards. Running back Joe Logan had 19 carries for 144 yards and two touchdowns. The Lumberjacks can gain at least a share of the Big Sky title with a victory next week in the Grand Canyon Trophy Game in Ceder City, Utah against the Southern Utah Thunderbirds. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m.
