Investigators have released information into the fatal shooting of a Kansas man in Oak Creek Canyon last month. The report says the son of 51-year-old Tyler Miller was worried his dad may be suicidal after a recent separation. He said Miller hadn’t slept and was sending unusual text messages to him. Authorities say after Miller wrecked his truck, drivers reported seeing him throw rocks at traffic on State Route 89A. He was also seen running down the road bloody and naked. Investigators say he removed his clothes as he ran down the road. It was after this Miller came in contact with a Forest Service agent. After yelling commands at Miller, the agent opened fire. Investigators found a detached taser at the scene. However, details of the exchange between the agent and Miller is not known. The FBI said back in January the officer stopped to render assistance to the man, when an altercation between the two broke out. Soon after that, he was shot. Miller was reportedly at a religious retreat when the incident happened.
