A man wanted in connection with a robbery in Prescott Valley has been arrested in Glendale. Yavapai County Sheriff’s officials say 30-year-old Pedro Alaniz from Chino Valley was wanted for allegedly stealing a large amount of construction tools from a Prescott Valley site and tried to selling them to a pawn shop. Investigators say around five-thousand dollars in tools were taken on December 4th from a construction site on East Explorer Lane and a few days later some items turned up at the shop. The pawn slip showed Alaniz was the person who had the items when they were pawned. Video from the pawn shop showed Alaniz and 20-year-old Steven Hackleman together in the store. Hackleman was arrested New Year’s Eve in Chino Valley and booked on charges related to the crime. Alaniz will be extradited back to Yavapai County in the coming days.
