A man who was shot by police in Prescott Valley last week has been released from the hospital and is in jail. Officials say members of the Prescott Valley Police Department’s Special Weapon and Tactics Team were in the process of serving a search warrant for drugs in the 57-hundred block of Market Street at Building 14 when they were confronted by 34-year-old Aaron Johnson of Prescott Valley. He was wearing body armor and raised a weapon pointing it in the direction of officers. Johnson was immediately shot by police. The suspect was flown to a Phoenix area hospital and was released Tuesday. No officers were injured during the incident. Johnson was booked into the Maricopa County Jail on three counts of child abuse along with weapon and drug charges.
