A man was arrested in Prescott Valley recently for a slew of offenses including drug sales and sexual conduct with an underage girl. Yavapai County Sheriff’s officials say they talked to the victim back on December 26th, after she disclosed the sexual contact with 23-year-old Lawton Thompson. The man rented a room from the victim’s father in a Prescott home. One day, Thompson was apparently intoxicated and forced himself on the girl. Someone knocking on the door, stopped the attempt and the victim was able to escape. He offered her drugs and money if she didn’t tell anyone what happened, but she was able to tell a family member a few days later. Thompson was arrested at a Prescott Valley business on December 27th on many drug and sex charges. He remains in custody on $150-thousand dollars bond.
