Fire managers with the Coconino National Forest are planning a large prescribed burn in the southern part of the forest this week. Officials say around two-thousand acres will be treated about eleven miles southeast of Clint’s Well and five miles from Knoll Lake. There’s no word when the burn will start, but it could last up to four days. Smoke could affect areas near Clint’s Well and could settle into the Happy Jack area as well. If you have plans that include traveling in the area this week, use caution during the burn.
