ZenniHome has teamed up with the Navajo Nation Division of Economic Development to announce the finalization on an agreement that will now allow them to begin the production of residential homes on part of the land that was home to the former Navajo Generating Station. ZenniHome and the Navajo Nation are currently negotiating a lease agreement for the site. The agreement allows ZenniHome to start basic operations at once, such as hiring and making capital improvements. Governor Doug Ducey is happy about the announcement saying, “we are thrilled to see new jobs and industry grow from the former Navajo Generating Station, and we look forward to continue working with our tribal partners to bring more opportunities to all parts of Arizona.” The company says they plan to hire up to 150 people to build the homes.
