Authorities are warning residents of a strange man seen in the bushes of a Yarnell home recently. Yavapai County Sheriff’s deputies were sent to a home in the 17-thousand-400 block of Foothill Road in the Glen Liah subdivision of Yarnell back on June 4th. The female resident was pulling up to her house and saw a man standing near the north side of the home just after 7 p.m. The woman’s ten-year-old son was with her and while she was checking the yard, he claimed to hear a man in the bushes asking him to follow him. When the mother approached, the man ran off. Deputies checked the area and he wasn’t located. The man is described as a white male, possibly in his 20s, with long black hair in a ponytail, along with an earring and was wearing sunglasses. The child said the man appeared to have been carrying a black object resembling a firearm. Then in the same area last week, a couple saw a tall, heavy set man with short black hair and a black beard near their driveway and scatter into some bushes. Even though the two descriptions are different, authorities believe it was important to get the information out into the community. If anyone has information into the case, contact the Yavapai County Sheriff’s office at (928) 771-3260.
