The search is on for a person, or persons, who vandalized the Seventh Day Adventist Church Sanctuary in Dewey recently. The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office says the incident happened sometime between noon on April 17th and 9:30 a.m. on April 24th at the church located at 11850 Henderson Drive. Officials say deputies saw several tire tracks on the exterior side of the building. The tracks appeared to be an aggressive, knobby-type tire, typically found on dirt bikes or similar off-road vehicles. Inside the building, damage from the impact with the exterior wall was visible and substantial. Damage is estimated to be in the several thousands of dollars. If anyone has information about the incident, or who did it, contact the Sheriff’s Office at (928) 771-3260 or call Yavapai Silent Witness at 1-800-932-3232 or submit a tip online at yavapaisw.com.
