The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office has found the suspect in connection with an auto theft in Cottonwood recently. On April 12th, an unidentified male went into a home in the 17-hundred block of Kerley Lane in Cottonwood, grabbed the keys and drove off in s 2011 Chrysler Town and Country minivan. The vehicle was found abandoned the next morning near Mingus Union High School. The person was seen dressed in all black getting out of the vehicle and into a similar van and drove away on Camino Real toward Rio Mesa Trail. Investigators say the person stopped at the Speedway Gas Station in Cottonwood just after 11 p.m. on April 12th. Officials have identified the suspect as 16-year-old Saul Alcantar Sierra, who is from Maricopa County. Sierra was already in custody on unrelated charges and will be charged in connection with the theft.
