An anonymous tip led to the arrest of a Rimrock man wanted in connection with a kidnapping. Yavapai County Sheriff’s officials say 23-year-old Dylan Horne was arrested without incident after he was found as a passenger of a vehicle at the Sunset Point Rest Area off Interstate-17 at around 4:45 p.m. Deputies were called to a Rimrock home on a report of an intoxicated person at the house last Friday. When deputies arrived they learned Horne unlawfully took the victim’s vehicle with a three-year-old child and four-month-old baby inside. According to the victim, Horne was drunk and left the area in the vehicle at a high rate of speed. The victim and a friend attempted to follow him in a separate vehicle. Horne was involved in an accident with a truck in the area of Bice Road. He left the scene and eventually abandoned the vehicle and took the victim’s credit card and cell phone with him. Deputies quickly found the car with the kids inside. They were returned to the victim unharmed. Horne has been booked on a slew of charges in connection with the kidnapping. He also had a warrant out for his arrest in Colorado and charges will be added.
