A deputy from the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office is under investigation in connection with a reported family fight at his home Sunday afternoon. Deputies were called to the home of Lieutenant Daniel Raiss at around 4 p.m. after one of his adult daughters called 911 reporting a family fight. After arriving on the scene, deputies conducted initial interviews and determined the situation was stable. The parties involved were separated. Sheriff David Rhodes has turned the case over to the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office, as a neutral agency. No charges have been filed as of yet, however while the case is under investigation the deputy has been put on leave with an internal administrative inquiry occurring concurrent to the Coconino County investigation.
