Yavapai County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for a suspect who killed a dog with a crossbow Thursday morning in Humboldt. Deputies were called to the intersection of Calumet Street and 3rd Alley at around 8:30 a.m. When they arrived they found a Mastiff was dead due to a projectile shot from a crossbow. Authorities located the owners, who live nearby. They said they let the dog out to go to the bathroom around midnight and didn’t know what happened until hours later. Officials say the dog died several hours earlier. Investigators do not have a suspect in the case thus far.
