Yavapai County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 25-year-old woman Wednesday after she fled police and was tased. Deputies arrested Jessica Nodal in Yarnell after they were tipped off she was in the area at around 4:30 p.m. Nodal had two warrants for her arrest, one in California and one in Arizona. After a search, she was found on Shrine Road by a patrol supervisor. When the supervisor attempted to arrest her, she took off while yelling “I have a gun” several times. The supervisor found her hiding in a bush and told her to make herself scene. She resisted, so a deputy arrived and tased Nodal. She was taken into custody and no weapons were found. Nodal had dropped a backpack during the foot pursuit. Inside was more than a gram of meth and a number of oxycodone pills. She was booked on the warrants and on drug charges. Deputies are also investigating Nodal’s involvement in criminal activity in Yarnell.
