Yavapai Silent Witness is asking for the public’s help in solving a 26-year-old double homicide cold case. Back on May 24th of 1996, best friends Diana Lynn Shawcroft and Jennifer Sue Lueth, went to a convenience store near 59th Avenue and Camelback Road in Glendale. The clerk at the store then saw the two 19-year-old women talking to a 70 to 80-year-old man in the parking lot, driving a blue pickup truck. Then in August of 1996, hunters found the bodies of the two women in a secluded area of the desert near Dugas Road about 20 miles east of I-17. After discovering the bodies, people placed framed photos of the women at the site in memory of them, but it was discovered in September of 2000 the photos had been removed. If anyone has any information about the disappearance and death of the women, or information about the suspect, contact Yavapai Silent Witness at 1-(800)-932-3232 or submit an anonymous tip online at YavapaiSW.com.
