Yavapai County Treasurer Ross Jacobs is stepping down. The Yavapai County Board of Supervisors accepted his resignation Wednesday after Jacobs submitted it on Monday. The county has opened the position to applicants. Candidates must be 18-years-old or older, a resident of Arizona, registered to vote in Yavapai County and able to read and write in English. Letters of interest should be sent to the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors at 10-15 Fair Street, Third Floor Room 310, Prescott, Arizona 86305. Applications will be accepted until February 18th and the Board of Supervisors will meet on Monday, February 24th at a special meeting to go over applicants. It isn’t known why Jacobs has stepped down.
