Yavapai County Sheriff’s Deputies Were Busy Sunday During The Tri-City DUI Task Force

The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office, joined other county law enforcement agencies in a Tri-City DUI Task Force Sunday. Deputies conducted 24 total traffic stops, resulting in six speeding citations, three civil citations, one child restraint seat citations and one DUI arrest. The child restraint citation came after a deputy noticed a child hanging outside of the window while the vehicle was in motion on Highway 69, near Prescott Lakes Parkway. The two adults in the front of the vehicle didn’t notice that the child wasn’t restrained and mentioned it was an ongoing issue. The deputy made sure the child promised to keep his seatbelt fastened. Deputies also responded to a single-vehicle accident, which resulted in the DUI arrest. A man failed to negotiate a curve, told deputies his dog bit him and he fell asleep, which caused the accident.
