Yavapai County Sees A Spike In Recoveries From COVID-19 Wednesday

The number of those recovered from COVID-19 nearly doubled in Yavapai County Wednesday. County health officials say there were 17 new reported recoveries from the virus and now there’s 37 total. A recovery is counted if there are no new symptoms after two weeks. There were nine new cases of COVID-19 reported for 230 total with no new deaths. Wednesday was a new high in tests recorded with 820. The total number of those tested in Yavapai County is now 6,140. Out of those tested, 5,910 were negative. There are now 113 cases in Prescott Valley, 40 in Prescott and 12 each in Cottonwood and Sedona. Officials say there are 11 cases in Mayer and eight in Dewey. There are now ten cases in Camp Verde and eight in Chino Valley. There is just one case in other Quad Cities areas and eight cases in the Verde Valley area with one unknown. The percent of negative tests in Yavapai County is up to 96.3-percent.
