The Prescott Valley Police Department is teaming up with the Chino Valley Police Department for a pre-holiday joint speed control effort along State Route 69. The detail will take place on Monday from two until 6 p.m. along the highway between the two towns. Any driver driving 69 miles an hour or higher will receive a speeding ticket. Other agencies helping with the effort are DPS and the Prescott Police Department. There will also be a DUI task force set up on the same highway on New Year’s Eve between 6 p.m. and 2 a.m. The goal of the enforcement is to assist drivers in focusing on highway safety as we enter the holiday season.
