Yavapai County law enforcement officials conducted a speed and aggressive driving enforcement detail last Friday morning. The area of focus was Pioneer Parkway, Willow Creek Road, Williamson Valley Road and Highway 89 between seven and 11 a.m. During the detail, officers from Prescott, Prescott Valley and Chino Valley police departments, along with deputies from the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office gave out 40 citations, 32 of which was for speeding. Other tickets were three for red light violations, two for driving on a suspended license and three for distracted driving for talking on a cell phone. Of the speeding violations, two included speeds of 67 and 65 miles per hour in a 45 mile-per-hour zone and one was for driving 32 miles an hour over the speed limit. Authorities say if you see someone driving erratically, contact police immediately.
