Yavapai County has retired the CodeRed alert system and has launched something new. “alertYAVAPAI” was introduced Tuesday as the county’s new emergency alert system for residents. The system will work the same way CodeRed did, by sending you alerts on your phone, email or text. during an emergency or other need to know events. The “Ready, Set, Go” alerts will also still be used. Starting Thursday, residents can sign up through the Everbridge website, or you can download the Everbridge app, then you will search for Yavapai County or Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office where you can sign up to receive messages. Sign up and make sure you are safe when emergencies hit your area.
