Over 400 firefighters continue to battle the Wood Springs 2 Fire northeast of Ganado. The wildfire has burned nearly 13-thousand acres with 51-percent containment. The community of Sawmill is no longer on alert, but Fluted Rock remains in what would be “Set” condition. The fire remains about five miles west of Sawmill. Residents in the area need to get ready to evacuate and should leave if asked to do so. Road closures remain in effect for the area, including Navajo Route 7 from Sawmill to Three Turkey Ruin Junction, and Navajo Route 26 is closed from where it intersects with Route 27 out to Route 7.
