Woman Involved In A Motorcycle Accident In Prescott Memorial Day Weekend Has Died

One of the two people who were seriously injured after they were involved in a motorcycle accident in Prescott Memorial Day weekend has passed away. Fire officials say an engine crew was returning from a call when they came upon the accident on northbound Highway 89 and Overland Road. The crew found 58-year-old Jesse Gerhardt Junior of Phoenix and 58-year-old Tamara Kelley of Mayer, unresponsive lying in the road with bystanders tending to the victims. Both suffered from head injuries from the accident and weren’t wearing helmets at the time. Prescott Police say Kelley died from her injuries on Friday. Witnesses told police, the motorcycle moved across three lanes of traffic and failed to negotiate the turn into the right turn lane for Overland Trail. He struck the concrete curb and both were ejected from the bike. Gerhardt’s condition is unknown.
