A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for areas of Northern Arizona above 45-hundred feet from Thursday afternoon through Friday evening. The warning starts at 3 p.m. in cities including: Flagstaff, Williams and the Grand Canyon. In Prescott, Prescott Valley, Chino Valley and Sedona, the warning will be in effect at 11 p.m. Thursday. The National Weather Service says to expect 17-to-23 inches of snow in Flagstaff and Williams, six-to-10 inches at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, nine-to-13 inches in Doney Park, four-to-eight inches of snow in Prescott and three-to-five inches in Prescott Valley and Sedona. Arizona Snowbowl could get between three-and-four feet of snow. Forecasters say travel will be very difficult to impossible between Thursday afternoon through midnight Saturday morning. If you, or others, plan to travel for the Thanksgiving Weekend, plan accordingly and if you don’t have to travel between Thursday and Saturday, don’t.
