Winslow Police are investigating a homicide and a separate stabbing that could be connected. Last Friday, officers were called to the north side of the Safeway located at 1601 North Park Drive in Winslow on a report of a fight between two men. When they arrived, officers found a male victim unresponsive with stab wounds to his chest. He was identified as 36-year-old Matthew Keyonnie of Winslow. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are also looking into an incident back on November 6th in the 15-hundred block of North Park Drive. After a fight between two other men, the victim suffered non-life threatening stab wounds. The description of the suspect in both incidents are similar. Investigators are looking for a Navajo male about five-feet-eight inches tall and a thin build. He was in dark clothing with a faint mustache and a patch of hair under his lower lip. Detectives say they don’t know if the two cases are connected for sure or not.
