Winslow Horse Owner Charged With Animal Cruelty

A Winslow man has been arrested on four felony counts of animal cruelty and nine misdemeanor counts of animal cruelty involving horses on his property. Navajo County Sheriff’s officials say Paul Kinlecheenie was taken into custody after four horses were found dead and nine others were found thin and weak on his property off of State Route 99. The nine surviving horses were seized and placed into the care of a neighbor until the Department of Agriculture can make plans to pick up the horses sometime this week. Kinlecheenie has been booked into the Navajo County Jail in Holbrook.
