A Wind Advisory has been issued for Wednesday for the Kaibab and Colorado plateaus, west to Mohave County. The advisory includes Flagstaff, The Navajo Nation, areas along Interstate-40, the Grand Canyon and the White Mountains. The advisory will be in effect from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. Forecasters say to expect winds 15-to-25 miles per hour with gusts up to 45 miles an hour at times. Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Winds this strong could also make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Winds will affect drivers from Flagstaff east to the New Mexico State line on I-40 and north to Cameron on Highway 89. If you have to travel today, use caution.
