A Wind Advisory and Red Flag Warning will be in effect for Wednesday for all of Arizona, with the exception of along the Colorado River. The National Weather Service says the advisory and warning will be in effect from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. Winds are expected to be 20-to-30 miles per hour with gusts possibly as high as 50 miles an hour at times. If you plan to travel Wednesday, and have a high profile vehicle, drive safely and use caution, especially if you are driving in open country like along Interstate-40 east of Flagstaff. Also, don’t throw cigarettes out of your window and if you’re pulling a trailer, make sure chains are up off the ground. One little spark could start a fire and with high winds, the fire could spread quickly.
