West Flagstaff, Continental Majors Advance On In The District 1 Little League Tournament

Both West Flagstaff and Continental major little league teams advanced in the District One baseball tournament at Continental Thursday. Adrian Crockett struck out eight of the first ten batters he faced to finish with 11 strikeouts as West Flagstaff beat Payson 11-1 in four innings. Drake Schaeffer belted a three-run home run in the first inning and finished with five RBI in the win. Continental rebounded from their loss to West Flagstaff with a 16-1 win over Winslow in four innings to advance. Continental will play Payson in an elimination game Friday at 5:30 p.m. West Flagstaff will take on Page in a winner’s bracket game at 7:30 p.m. Both games will be played at Continental.
