Weber State was selected as the favorite to win the Big Sky Conference in football by both media and coaches Thursday. The Wildcats received 28 of 44 possible first place votes in the preseason media poll. Montana, Montana State, Eastern Washington and Sacramento State round out the top five in both polls. NAU was picked ninth out of 13 teams in the media poll and the Lumberjacks were picked seventh by the coaches. NAU is set to open the season at home against South Dakota on Saturday, September 12th but that could all change due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
